He expressed his satisfaction with his visit's impact on the expansion of economic, political, and also bilateral relations between Iran and Azerbaijan.
Aslanov noted that OANA was founded in 1961 with the support of UNESCO to facilitate information between the countries of the region, and now 44 news agencies from 35 countries of the Asia-Pacific continent are members of this organization.
Aslanov described IRNA as one of the active members of this organization and influential organization in the world, adding, 'The Internet era has not only raised the possibility of exchanging information among OANA news agencies, but has increased the impact of these news agencies around the world.
The 43th meeting of the Executive Board of the Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) was addressed Monday by the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Abbas Salehi and IRNA's Managing Director Seyyed Zia Hashemi, with the participation of senior executives of the news agencies of the Organization, senior news agencies, Iranian newspapers and a number of heads of commissions and representatives of Iran's parliament, IRIB, the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other organizations and institutions hosted by IRNA at the Spinase Palace Hotel in Tehran.
