‘Monks of Wang Temple’ to be performed in Ankara

The play has been produced by the Iranian Theater Company, Eede, (idea), according to the public relations of Vahdat Hall.

In 2004, Eede Theater Company by using the fancy and comic ability of its actors started its long journey. With the help of some people who are educated in the ground of stage and theater, they tried to experience new ideas and find a more personal language, point of view and practical moldings which are unique and belong to them, only.

'Monks of Wang Temple' is a silent comedy that challenges fundamentalist religious thoughts. The story takes place in a temple, where monks are trained with austerity, religious thoughts and teachings.

They are misogynist. Learners are thought that woman is an evil creature and must be avoided.
