
According to the Seismological Center affiliated to the Institute of Geophysics of Tehran University, the epicenter of the quake was registered at 57.83 degrees longitude and 27.99 degrees latitude at the depth of 28 kilometers underground.
The epicenter of the quake was registered at 14 km of Kahnuj, 16 km of Rudbar and 51 km of Mardehek.
It is worth noting that another quake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale shook the area at 18:20 hours local time (14:50 GMT).
