Two brothers trespassed a forbidden area and one of them was injured in his arm and the other in leg, Baneh governor Moahammad Fallahi told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Monday.
The two injured brothers were transported to the hospital, he added.
Baneh is a town in Kurdestan Province in Iran's western border. Baneh is approximately 30 km from the Iraqi border.
During the war imposed by Iraq on Iran, 16 million landmines were planted in over 4,200,000 hectare of lands in the Iranian provinces bordering Iraq by the army of the former Ba'athist regime.
Despite the fact that landmine areas have been cleared, explosions of mines and other explosive devices remaining from the war often cause death and injuries.
