Mild quake hits southern Iran

The quake hit the borderline town at provinces of Kerman and Hurmozgan 9:22 local time (4:52 GMT) , with its epicenter in Arzuiyeh town to the south of Kerman.

Deputy Head of Iran's Red Crescent Shahin Fathi said that the preliminary assessments showed that the quake did not cause any damage or casualty.

Kerman was the center of several quakes last year that inflicted damages on infrastructures and buildings.
