The exhibition is being held for three weeks at the Paseo de la Reforma that runs through the heart of Mexico City.
“This cultural event has provided an opportunity so that a window is opened from México City to the beauties of Iran’s history, culture and nature,” Iranian Ambassador to Mexico, Mohammad Taqi Hosseini said as he inaugurated the gallery.
The exhibition will coincide with the beginning of the New Year in Iran ( will start on March 21, 2019). “Iranians start the new year on the first day of Spring and according to an age-old tradition, they celebrate Nowruz (New Day, in Persian),” he added.
Diana Alarcón, Mexico City government Coordinator of International Affairs, welcomed the street exhibition, saying that “Nowruz message is peace, coexistence, forgiveness and taking care of the nature”.
