Along with tourist attractions, the existing security and tranquility in Iran should also be shown to the world people, Yonathan Betkolia told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) in this northwestern Iranian city.
Foreign tourists can see varieties of cultural and historical sites in Iran, Betkolia added.
Betkolia, who is also a member of Majlis cultural heritage and tourism faction, said Iran has thousands of historical and religious attractions needed to be introduced to the tourists.
Despite negative propaganda by the foreign networks, the issue of hijab is not an obstacle to attracting the foreign tourists, the Assyrian member of parliament added.
He went on to say that the foreign tourists after being received warmly and respected can act as ambassadors of Iranian rich culture.
Tourism development in today world is an important factor in countries' economic growth, the parliamentarian concluded.
