Louvre head: Iran civilization great impact on European civilization

He made the remarks in a press conference related to the inauguration ceremony for Louvre Museum Exhibition in Tehran.

Martines reminded that designer and architecture of Iran's National Museum building was French architecture Andre Godard and in the 19th century agreements were signed between Iran and France for archeological excavations.

He added that this exhibition is achievement of both presidents' agreement in the year 2016, and said that in Louvre Museum there are two departments allocated for Iran's civilization and directors of both departments are here now.

At the first exhibition in Tehran we intend to display diversity of existing collections in Louvre and now we have works from ancient Egypt, Rome, Mesopotamia and Royal works of France.

From today, March 5, 2018, 56 works from Louvre Museum related to France, Italy, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Egypt, Turkey, Syria, Iraq and India are in display in an exhibition dubbed as; ' Glory of World Civilizations,' for duration of four months in National Museum of Iran.
