According to a report by seismography center, affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 13:33:24 hours local time (09:03:24 hours GMT) and its epicenter was 57.34 degrees longitude and 28.21 degrees latitude and in depth of 11 kilometers underground.

Governor of Faryab Ali Niknafs said no report on any casualty or damage has been received yet.

Faryab is located 330 kilometers south of Kerman city, capital of the Province.
