According to a report by Farabi Foundation, the Second Konya International Film Festival screened two films directed by Majidi.

Addressing the ceremony, Secretary of the festival Abdulsettar Yarar hailed Majidi’s role in making cinematic works with humanitarian and moral messages and described Iran’s modern cinema as messenger of spirituality.

This year, the secretariat of the festival invited Majidi with “The Willow Tree” and “Children of Heaven”. They were screened and were warmly welcomed by the audience.
