“Afghanistan’s infrastructure has been ruined after long years of war and we need Iran’s help to rebuild it,” said Afghan Minister of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs in a meeting with Head of Iran's Red Crescent Society Aliasghar Peyvandi.
He added that Iran has been siding Afghan people during the years of crisis, supporting Afghanistan in recent decades.
Zaki called for Iran's cooperation in treatment and rehabilitation of the disabled, saying, “Equipping the instruments and staffs of Afghan medical centers strengthens the cooperation between the two countries.”
In return, Aliasghar Peyvandi referred to Iran’s role in reconstructing hospitals in Afghanistan and said, “We are making arrangements to precipitate the construction of such medical centers in Afghanistan.”
“Empowering the neighbors through education is one of our main priorities,” he added.
Red Crescent Societies of Iran and Afghanistan have been collaborating for many years, including offering humanitarian aid during natural disasters as well as implementing joint venture projects in health tourism and treating victims of the chemical weapons.
