
Addressing inaugural ceremony of new directors in IRNA, Seyyed Zia Hashemi added that news products should be presented in a way to be able to boost constructive and creative interaction with the local and foreign entities.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he said that although this year’s floods affected over 21 provinces by displacing many people, most of them experienced a far better situation naturally and environmentally compared to previous years.
By the same token, sanctions and threats should serve as a means to boost national solidarity and self-reliance, he said.
Meanwhile, Director of the United Nations Information Center (UNIC) Maria Dotsenko thanked IRNA chief, saying that one of the advantages of the entity that women constitute 50 percent of its directors, as it is the same in the UN.
Referring to the history of cooperation between IRNA and UN, she said that both sides interaction has always been constructive.
She also hailed Iran’s government’s all-out support to the flood-stricken people, saying that the UN is planning to produce a film on the floods in Iran to be able to win global support for the affected people.
