Iran's 'Retouch' awarded in Sukhum

Directed by Kaveh Mazaheri, 'Retouch' narrates the story of a young woman whose husband dies before her eyes while she cannot do anything but to witness the unfolding of this tragic event, ifilmtv.ir wrote.

The flick competed with films from Abkhazia in addition to those from Russia, Europe and other countries.

'Retouch' recently won a series of top prizes from other international festivals, including the 4th Short Movie Club Film Festival in Belarus, the Best International Short award at the 16th Audi Dublin International Film Festival (ADIFF) in Ireland and the 9th Cinalfama Lisbon's International Film Festival in Portugal.

The First Sukhum International Film Festival was held in Abkhazia from April 2-7. The 2018 edition included only short fiction films, but feature-length films and documentaries will also be included in the future.
