Professor Smit Sibinga, who traveled to Iran for consultancy on the progress of work on the preparation of a report on the health and adequacy of blood in the Eastern Mediterranean region, about the reason for choosing Iran to implement the regional monitoring plan for blood transfusion centers added, 'The Blood Transfusion Organization of Iran has been selected as a partner of the World Health Organization in the field of blood transfusion education and research in recent years.'
He continued, 'The cooperation of the World Health Organization with the Iranian Blood Transfusion Organization is very useful and is done in a very sincere atmosphere and the Blood Transfusion Organization of Iran is supposed to help us in two parts of our analysis of information.
Sibinga said the first part of the information analysis and blood health check is based on the WHO questionnaire collected in 2014-2015, and the second part provides a 15-year report of the overall health and adequacy of blood in 21 countries of the region.
