Javad Jahangirzadeh said on Friday that the poisoned personnel of the Naz Mehr cargo carrier were transferred to Baku hospital with the assistance of the border guards of the Republic of Azerbaijan, but three of them died during the transfer.
He added, 'All staff of the ship are Iranians, other than their captain, who is a Ukrainian citizen.
Jahangirzadeh said the ferry carrying cargo Naz Mehr was moving in the central part of the Caspian Sea on the route of Aktau Port - Port of Howsan.
Aktau is one of the ports of Kazakhstan and the port of Howsan on the outskirts of Baku, the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the Ambassador of Iran in Baku, eight other personnel of the ship were transferred to the hospital and hospitalized in the toxicology department of clinic of Baku.
