The exhibition was attended by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Iraq's Kurdistan Region, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Erbil and representatives of the Iranian universities.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Head of the University of Salah al-Din of Erbil Ahmad Dazyi expressed his pleasure at reopening of the exhibition, and said, 'We are pleased to host one of the largest scientific and cultural events in our university today.'
He added that the exhibition was held with the aim of familiarizing the people of the region and the universities of this region with the scientific and cultural capabilities of the universities of Iran and could be an important step in the development of scientific and cultural relations between the Kurdistan Region and Iran.
Referring to the holding of the exhibition, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Erbil said, 'Iran now has 2,400 universities and over 5 million students, while Iran has been under cruel sanctions over the past four decades.'
'There are a large number of Iranian universities here, and this shows that we have a serious intention for the development and development of scientific relations with the Kurdistan region,' said Morteza Ebadi.
The exhibition, which will be attended by more than 50 representatives of Iranian universities in Erbil, will continue for two days at Salah al-Din University.
