Iranian students win World Mathematical Champs

Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Mostafa Nouri, head of Tehran Math House said 51 Iranian students participated in WMC.

The competitions were held in six countries simultaneously, he said.

Students from US, Bulgaria, India and Australia attended the event, Nouri said, adding that the Iranian squad won the game due to its medal count.

Iranian students received 30 gold, 38 silver, 39 bronze and 8 oral medals and also 3 cups.

Thirteen students were also chosen to participate in summer camp which is slated to be held in Melbourne University.

It is the 23rd round of matches in which Iranian students have thus far participated, winning over 700 medals in the past ten years.
