'The crew noticed crucial situation of the sinking boat and received signs for help,' the National Iranian Tanker Company website quoted 'Stream' tanker's Captain Mahmoud Baghestani as saying.

He said the fishermen are in safe and sound situation and will be delivered to the related officials in Chabahar Port on Wednesday December 6.

Captain Baghestani said according to the rescued fishermen they were wandering for 2-3 days in the ocean.

Sri Lankan embassy official in Tehran attended NITC headquarters here and contacted five Sri Lankan citizens in Stream Oil Tanker and received their identity and necessary information.

Oil tanker 'Stream' is one of the biggest world oil tankers with 333 meters length, 60 meters width, 30.5 altitude and 317,000 tons capacity.
