Iranian film awarded in Iraqi Kurdistan filmfest

The movie is directed by Amir Gholami, said Mansour Ahmadi in an interview with Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Saturday.

Gholami had also won the best screenplay award for another film at San Francisco International Film Festival, Ahmadi said.

The surrealistic movie features the symbolic life of an odyssey-esque person who lives in a house on the water.

The third Sulaymaniyah International Film Festival held from October 10-16 in Iraq’s northeastern city of Sulaymaniyah.

A total of 144 films including 29 Iranian ones hit the big screen during the festival.
