In Mexico City, Iran's Ambassador Mohammad-Taqi Hosseini described Nowruz, the first day of spring, as an opportunity for rejuvenating thought and world at the same time.
'The message of Nowruz is coordination with the nature and care for it,' he said, noting that the human has never treated the environment in the right way.
Several ambassadors and a number of Mexican and UN officials attended the event.
In Dublin, Nowruz was celebrated in the presence of some Irish officials and diplomats from European and Asian countries, as well as a number of non-Iranian Muslism at Iran's embassy.
Some 300 Iranians residing in Ireland also attended the event to celebrate their national festivity.
Playing classic Iranian music along with Irish music, and laying Haft-Sin which is a custom specific to Nowruz were among the entertainments at the event.
Nowruz is officially celebrated in Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey and Turkmenistan.
It entered the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009 as a cultural tradition observed by a number of nations.
