Iranian diplomats visit Pakistan’s Peshawar University

During their meeting with Vice-Chancellor University of Peshawar Muhammad Asif Khan both sides agreed to enhance cooperation between Peshawar University and Khana Farhang.
Speaking on the occasion, Asif highlighted the importance of Persian language and the aspects of research in this field.
He said that Persian remained the language of official works, arts, culture, spirituality, research, teaching and education in the Indian sub-continent.
The scholar added Iran and Pakistan enjoy deep-rooted ties and there are many possibilities of promotion of bilateral relationship which can also help in fight against terrorism.
He also appreciated the Iranian diplomatic and cultural offices in Peshawar for promoting intellectual and educational activities.
The Iranian diplomats praised the contributions of the University of Peshawar in spreading knowledge in the region.
They expressed desire for the establishment of Iran Corner in the university which would be a sign of strong friendship between the two neighboring states.
