Iran, UN call for expansion of environmental ties

Kalantari made the remarks in a meeting with UN Representative residing in Iran Gary Lewis in the capital Tehran.

During the meeting, the ways for the expansion of environmental cooperation were also discussed.

Touching upon the joint implemented projects, Kalantari said the UN could play a key role in the environmental fields and create new frameworks at the regional and sub-regional arenas.

Lewis, for his part, voiced UNDP readiness to expand ties with DoE and implementing new environmental projects and plans.
