Speaking to IRNA on Friday on the importance of promoting Persian Language in other countries, Hossein Salimi said a part of the global knowledge is generated by Persian Language in the flourishing era of the Islamic civilization and even in today’s world.
He added that the Iranian science ministry dispatches some professors to other countries to promote Persian Language.
Stressing the fact that developing Persian Language is of the most important scientific priorities in today’s international community, he urged Allameh Tabataba'i University to make efforts in human and social sciences fields.
Salimi went on to say that Allameh Tabataba'i University has established a center for teaching Persian Language to non-Persian applicants in masters and PhD levels.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he pointed to Allameh Tabataba'i University role as coordinating academic relations with Spain, saying a Persian Language office has been established in Nebrija University.
He also referred to cooperation between Iran and Russian, German and French universities as regard Persian Language training.
Pointing to the contract signed by to Allameh Tabataba'i University and Sofia University on Persian Language courses, saying based on the contract both sides will discuss the Persian Language status and its impact on Balkan culture.
Earlier, China.Org news website reported that the first Chinese Studies Center of the People's Republic of China was launched at Allameh Tabataba'i University in Tehran.
According to the report, the center started its work with the cooperation of Shanghai International Studies University of China in Tehran to become a major step forward in exchanging and working together.
Allameh Tabataba'i University in Tehran is the largest specialized public university in humanities and social sciences in Iran, with 15,624 students and 422 full-time faculty members.
