Iran successful model for women's role play in society: VP

Massoumeh Ebtekar on Saturday on the sidelines of inaugurating ceremony of the first round of women's studies emphasized, 'Ladies in the Islamic Republic, while preserving religious values, have taken important steps in many different social fields and achieved great success.'

The high-ranking official went on to say, 'Achievements, theoretical foundations and policies adopted by the Islamic Republic on the role of women in society, while preserving religious and moral values, should be explained in international arenas.”

The vice president touched on that the achievements and experiences of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of women can be used in international arenas, especially in Islamic countries, which should be given more serious attention in this regard.

Ebtekar identified a progressive issue in the Islamic Republic as a women's field, emphasizing that women have a strong presence in various fields of education, health, higher education, sports, political and social participation.

Vice President for Women and Family Affairs, saying that the participation of women after the Islamic Revolution has been increasing in all indicators, except for economic participation, and noted that progress has not meant a lack of challenge and the fulfillment of all the demands of the youth in this area and in this the context, and efforts should be made to eliminate the current barriers and problems with proper policy and women's participation.
