Iran researchers build nano-sensor for breast cancer diagnosis

Early diagnosis of diseases like breast cancer can help doctors to choose proper treatments.

Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) is in charge of 15%-20% of all of the breast cancer cases and is also the most aggressive and prone to recurrence.

“TNBC cancer do not respond to hormone therapy, thus it should be diagnosed in its initial stages,” said Iranian researcher Elaheh Bozorgzadeh.

She added that the research team invented an electrical nano-bio-sensor to detect cancer cells.
