Iran renders cancer treatment services to Armenia

Iranian embassy in Armenia said in a report on Friday that the center has paved the way for treatment of Armenian cancer affected patients who were previously dispatched to foreign countries to receive medical treatment.

The patients who need further treatment will be sent to Iran by the center.

The issued was discussed in a meeting earlier, attended by Iranian ambassador in Yerevan Kazem Sajjadi and Anna Hakobyan, the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of City of Smile Charitable Foundation in Armenia.

The Iranian ambassador proposed that Iran and Armenia hold the first charity festival of the two countries with cooperation of other countries to provide support for poor cancer affected patients.

The proposal was welcomed by the Armenian side as a humanitarian measure in line with friendly relations of the two nations.
