Mashad, Aug 9, IRNA - Imam Reza (AS) Shrine's Dust Clearing Ceremony was held in this northeastern Iranian holy city on Thursday with participation of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
Ayatollah Khamenei also attended the spiritual ceremony in the past years.
Ulema, religious clerics and custodian of Imam Reza (AS) Shrine were present in the ceremony.
Dust Clearing is a religious ceremony done in Muslims areas.
The ritual is for cleansing, brooming, washing, and perfume-spraying special places like the holy tombs, mosques, martyrs’ graves, Kaaba, Imam Reza (AS) shrine, etc.
Imam Reza (AS) is the eighth Imam of Shia Muslims.
