Iran kills drug traffickers, seizes narcotics in southeast

The armed gang of drug traffickers driving three cars was identified on Wednesday (May 8), Deputy Police Chief of Sistan-Baluchestan Province Brigadier General Ahmad Taheri announced on Thursday.

About the clash, the police official said four of the drug traffickers were killed and two others were arrested in Saravan city near Iran's joint border with Pakistan.

Iran plays considerable role in minimizing demand for drugs and preventing its use, while treating and rehabilitating the addicts and bringing them back to society.
