The plan, whose first phase of studying started on Tuesday, is made up of three phases of field visits, detailed investigation and devising the final plan of tourism in NW Iran, according to Ali Reza Rahimi, Director General of Tourism Planning and Development.

He said Japanese researchers and experts will travel to several NW Iranian cities to see the potentials and challenges themselves.
