Iran, Iraq to discuss health ties on Monday

Mohsen Asadi Lari said that the trip will be made in line with recent visit by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to Iraq.

He added that the upcoming visit will be of importance for both countries.

Holding meeting with Iraqi minister of health, environment, higher-education and trade as well as signing documents in health field to exchange experiences and to develop relations will be on Namaki’s agenda, he noted.

Asadi Lari reiterated that the Iranian minister will also discuss developing educational ties in health sector, exports in health sector and also coordination as regard Iranian pilgrims for Arbaeen rituals.

With regard to the two countries' efforts to develop economic relations, health exchanges between Iran and Iraq could increase to $ 1 billion, including drug exports, patient and student exchange.
