According to the memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in the presence of Iranian Health Minister Saeed Namaki and the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) of Iraq Abdul Razzaq Abdul Jalel al-Issa, the two sides' academic, training and research centers will promote cooperation in field of medical sciences.

Iran's health minister, heading a delegation, arrived in Baghdad on Monday at the official invitation of his Iraqi counterpart.

A number of local officials and parliament (Majlis) representatives accompany health minister during the visit.
