Iraqi minister of health and environment told IRNA prior to the meeting that he would discuss five additional protocols to the memoranda of understanding with his Iranian counterpart.
He further noted that today’s talks are primary talks and agreements to be made on the additional protocols will be roadmap for comprehensive cooperation in the field of health and medical education.
Iranian minister also told IRNA that there are broad areas of cooperation in the health sector with the neighboring and friendly Iraq.
Referring to the Iraqi side’s goodwill during the negotiations, he hoped that the talks will lead to understanding between the two countries in the field.
Namaki is also slated to confer with the Iraqi ministers of higher education and research as well as trade during his three-day official visit to the country.
