Iran fascinating to Chinese tourists

Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) in China on Saturday, Hossein Khalifi said, 'Iranians are kind and hospitable, and they like the Chinese so much that when the Chinese tourists return to their country they will advertise Iran.'

Noting that Chinese tourists find a culture like their own in Iran, Khalifi said this is why they don’t feel alienated.
'Chinese tourists are especially interested in buying originally Iranian products, like saffron, carpets, and handicrafts.'

'Because the Chinese are very curious, Iran can be very challenging for them,' he noted.

Khalifi also said that some of the Chinese are not very certain about the security in Iran, so they first go to the country on business delegations, and then as part of small groups or even alone.

The Chinese can easily invest in Iran in industry, agriculture, and tourism and use the benefits of tax exemption, said the official.

Khalifi added that despite the sanctions, the Chinese contrary to the Europeans, stayed by Iran and added that Iran supported the 'One Belt, One Road' plan initiated by Chinese government.
The project is called by the Chinese government 'a bid to enhance regional connectivity and embrace a brighter future'.

The US cannot disrupt the thousands-of-years-old ties between Iran and China, Khalifi said referring to the growing efforts made by Washington to halt Iran’s trade relations with other countries including China, after President Donald Trump one-sidedly withdrew the landmark nuclear deal between Iran and the world major powers (US, Britain, France, Russia and China plus Germany).
