Director of the Institute Vitaly Naumkin said the special medal has been given to Sanaie in appreciation of his helpful support and cooperation to expand Iran studies in Russia, hold seminars and publish books and offer other close supports.

More than 400 political and scientific figures from 40 countries and senior Russian officials were attending the ceremony.
