Iran busts nearly 100kg of narcotics on Afghan border

Busted drugs include opium, heroin and hashish that were found at Dogharoon region, according to Brigadier Mashaullah Jan Nethar, commander of border forces in eastern Khorasan Razavi Province on the Afghanistan border.

Dogharoon is the official border crossing between Iran and Afghanistan in Khorasan Razavi Province that shares 300 kilometers of joint border with the country.

Iranian border patrol units in the area say they’ve seized more than two tons of narcotic drugs during the past 11 months.
