Iran, Algeria discuss media cooperation

Hashemi made the call in a meeting with the dean of Algerian Faculty of Telecommunication Sciences and Journalism Lamshoshi Mabruk.
In the meeting, the IRNA chief said the Islamic Republic News Agency has establish a school of media studies to merge theoretical sciences and professional skills in media.
The two sides also exchanged views on various issues such as promotion of higher education studies in both countries, training of reporters, professional training in news related activities and connecting universities and media with news agencies.
The Algerian official briefed the IRNA chief on the education programs in relation with media and media studies in his faculty.
Grounds for expansion of scientific work and exchange of university students and media persons are well prepared for the two countries, he said.
The IRNA chief, now visiting Algeria, has already visited the Algerian news agency and exchanged views with managers of its different departments.
