Iran Air, AZAL discuss ways of boosting cooperation

During the meeting, Sharafbafi hoped that talks held would help enhance cooperation between the two companies.

“We welcome development of aerial transportation between Iran and Azerbaijan Republic,” she said.

Asgarov, for his part, said that Heydar Aliyev International Airport has managed to transport 3.490 million passengers over the past nine months, up by 10 percent compared to the similar period last year.

Baku-Tehran route is one of the major routes between Iran and Azerbaijan, as AZAL handles flight to Tehran every day and Iran Air handles two a week.
