
Crisis Management Director General of Kermanshah governorate general Reza Mahmoudian said 20 of the injured were being treated at provincial medical centers while the others had been treated as outpatients and discharged.
The 5.9-magnitude quake which hit Tazeh Abad, center of Salas Babajani city, also inflicted damage on 80 residential units in western cities of the province, he said.
The quake which occurred at 14:37 hours local time (10:07 GMT) was followed by 40 aftershocks.
The quake was also felt in nearly all parts of the province.
A 7.3 magnitude earthquake hit Ezgeleh in the same province in 2017 that claimed the lives of 620 and injured more than 12,000 people.
