Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Thursday, Hassan Pasandide said the hunters wanted to hunt wild goat in Tarom Sofla District.

During the conflict the illegal hunters injured the rangers with stones and wood, he said.

The park rangers have been hospitalized in Qazvin hospital, he added.

He went on to say that some of the hunters were arrested and others ran away.
