IDP IELTS runs IELTS teacher workshops in Iran

The three-hour workshops, designed for current teachers of IELTS, helped participants gain more insight into the IELTS Speaking and Writing public band descriptors, particularly at bands 5.5-8.

Participating teachers got to apply the descriptors to a set of authentic of texts and interviews with the support and supervision of IELTS experts. The activity aimed at building capability for teachers to provide accurate feedback to their students on each skill in the IELTS Speaking and Writing test.

A total of 11 sessions were delivered across the country covering Tehran, Isfahan, Shiraz, Mashhad and Tabriz. The workshops were co-delivered by senior IELTS experts from IDP Education.

Participants received a certificate of participation at the end of the course. The feedback from the teachers was very positive with over 90% rating the workshops as excellent.
IDP is a co-owner of the IELTS test and is currently the only provider of IELTS in Iran through four test centers, including its official partner in Iran the Irsafam Institute.

The IELTS test is accepted by over 10,000 organizations around the world for study, work and immigration purposes.
