Greek institute urges developing cooperation with Iran

Gabriella Triantafyili made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Cultural Attaché in Greece Ali Mohammad Helmi on Tuesday.

By relying on their rich cultures, countries can establish good relations to make their people more familiar with their cultural backgrounds, Triantafyili said.

Helmi, for his part, said both countries have a rich background in presenting cultural, artistic, scientific and philosophical theories.

Bilateral cooperation can play a major role in acquainting both nations with their cultural backgrounds, he said.

The Iranian embassy and the office of Iran's cultural attaché office in Athens are ready to cooperate with 'Stavros Niarchos' institute in different cultural and artistic areas, including theatre, cinema and putting on calligraphy and art exhibitions, he added.
