There are more than 574,101 disabled war veterans with different disability rates in Iran.

The Iran-Iraq war started on 1980 with the West-backed Saddam Hussein’s invasion. The European-provided arms and chemical agents of Iraq killed and injured hundreds of thousands, while Iraq was supported by the Soviet-led East bloc as well.
