German students' tour started in eastern Iran

The event is aimed at making students familiar with Iranian culture and also visiting historical sites, Yousef Bidkhori told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

Eight students from the Middle East Studies Department of Munich University coordinated by Foreign Ministry have taken a trip to Iran, he said.

They started their tour by visiting Imam Reza (AS) Holy Shrine and Naderi Garden, he added.

Two professors from Munich University are accompanying them in the trip, Bidkhori noted.

He went on to say that the tour will be underway for ten days.

The German delegation is supposed to visit Nishapur, Torbat-e Jam, Taybad, Torbat-e Heydarieh and Gonabad.

Razavi Khorasan has 1,500 historical sites and is hosting over 30 million domestic and foreign tourists touring the province.
