Four Shia Muslims shot dead in SW Pakistan

According to reports, eight members of the Hazara Shia community were coming to Quetta from Chaman town on the Afghan border.

Two unknown men on a motorcycle opened indiscriminate fire on them, killing three people on the spot and injuring three others, including a 12-year-old individual, who succumbed to injuries during treatment at the hospital.

No group has so far claimed responsibility of the attack.

This is not the first time that Hazara community has been targeted by militants in Balochistan and in the last few years hundreds have been killed in suicide bomb attacks, planted bomb blasts or target killings.

Hazara community is easily identifiable because of their distinctive physical appearance.
