Finnish short films to be screened in Tehran

'Iranian Youth cinema Society (IYCS) organizes Tehran International Short Film Festival every year in October (TISFF). It is one of the oldest short film festivals not only in Iran, but also in the region,' according to a report by TISFF website.

The festival has been host of international well known festival directors and cineastes from around the world.

The Finnish short film 'Elegance' directed by Virpi Suutari, as well as 'Birthday' and 'Dream' by two other Finnish directors, and the Iranian animation 'Listen' directed by Hami Ramezan are among short films expected to be screened during the event.

The Tampere Film Festival is a short film festival held every March in the Finnish city of Tampere. It is accredited by the film producers' society FIAPF, and together with the short film festivals in Oberhausen and Clermont-Ferrand, it is among the most important European short film festivals.
