FAO contributes to 5 Iranian agricultural development projects

Addressing a FAO-sponsored international workshop on export of agro-products in Meshkindasht Fardis on Tuesday, Ferdowsi said the sustainable agricultural projects focus on the environment protection and climatically sensitive spots, rural development, movement towards macro from micro agriculture, food security and safety and knowledge and experiment transfer.

'Enjoying appropriate climatic conditions for agriculture, Iran should assume a grave share in the regional and global markets.'

If the private sector in Iran changes its attitude towards agricultural activities and attention is paid to indices environmentally, there will be changes in production and exports, he noted.
