Explosions at military base in western Iran cause fear among people

The outbreak of fire and its spread to the ammunition depot have caused a series of explosions. The people residing inside the military unit are being evacuated.

Fire fighters and rescue teams dispatched to the base have not managed to approach the main site of the incident due to heavy flames. There are no report of possible casualties as a result of fire and explosions.

Kiamars Hajizadeh, director general of the crisis management department at Khuzestan province governorate told the Islamic Republic News Agency that the incident had not caused any casualties.
