Speaking to IRNA, he said that over past two years tens of foreign tourists have visited the city which helped promote tourism industry in Varamin.

Visiting tourists loved historical monuments and tombs of the well-known people, Tajik said.

Various tours from the US, France, Japan, China, Italy and the Netherlands have inspected Varamins' historical sites, he said.

There are over 400 historical and cultural sites in Varamin, 80 of which have been registered as national heritage.
