China's first cargo to flood victims lands in Iran

Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in China Mohammad Keshavarzadeh announced on Friday that 'additional shipments will be sent to Tehran from the Chinese government in the coming days.'

According to the ambassador of the I.R.of Iran to China, in addition to the above mentioned consignment, more cargo will be delivered via future flights.

Keshavzazadeh added that :While appreciating the sympathy and the sense of friendship between the government and the people of China with the flood-hit people of our country, we believe that the two countries' integration and cooperation in all difficult stages of the past and present time, is a clear evidence that both ancient civilizations are willing to prove their determination to proceed decisively the agreed comprehensive strategic partnerships.'

He also commended the sympathy and sense of altruism between the government and the people of China with the flood-hit people of Iran, saying, 'We believe that the two countries' accompany in all the past and forthcoming difficult stages of is a clear proof to the resolve of the ancient and historic cavitations on decisive continuity of comprehensive strategic partnership.

Unprecedented heavy rains caused floods in various parts of Iran. Scores of people were killed and 478 others were injured while a large number of people were displaced across Iran.

The disaster coincided with the high season of Iranians' trips as they were spending the national two-week holidays of Nowruz.
