The coastal province, with its port capital which carries the same name, lies along the Persian Gulf and boasts of numerous tourists attractions.
Receiving 7.5 million tourists last year, the province was nationally ranked third after the two northern Guilan and Mazandaran provinces with regard to tourism popularity.
Ninety percent of the tourists who had visited the province during two weeks Nowruz holidays (started March 21) expressed willingness to go back there again.
Ports, long coasts, acceptable tourism amenities and infrastructures, aqua sports centers are among the most attractive features of the province.
The green date palm groves have made the province irresistible to the passing visitors. Few people could ignore the high quality date fruits of Bushehr and the neighboring towns.
The salt domes are among other natural attractions of Bushehr Province. They are registered as a national fossil natural monument in 2005.
The historical house of the well-known anti-colonialism activist, Rais Ali Delvari, who fought against British forces that had invaded Iran in early twentieth century, is another place that deseves a visit.
Kuh Siah (Black Mountain) is a protected area that hosts the well-known tribe of Qashqai in summers in its green plains. Cascades, ancient monuments and graveyards are other must-see places in Bushehr Province.
Dayyer-Nakhilo National Park which is the habitat of many species of animals and birds, including terns and sea turtles, can entertain visitors and nature lovers.
The City of Bushehr ancient bazaar which dates back to the Qajar dynasty is a spectacular architecture that lets sufficient light in but prevents rainwater.
Bushehr, more than 1,000 km to the south of Tehran, offers wonderful rock and sandy beaches in fall, winter and early spring that become more pleasent with sunny days, starry nights, and warm water.
Nowruz (meaning new day in Persian) marks the first day of spring and Persian New Year that is celeberated across the world by various countries, particularly in Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey and Turkmenistan. It was registered as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009 by the UN.
